Liverpool suffered their first defeat of the Jurgen Klopp era this afternoon, as Crystal Palace took all three points at Anfield.
Slack defending cost the home side in the 2-1 defeat, as Yannick Bolasie and former Liverpool season ticket holder Scott Dann scored either side of Philippe Coutinho’s well-placed strike.
The result was Klopp’s first loss in his seven matches, and means that the Reds have now failed to win all four of their Premier League matches following a Thursday night Europa League tie this season.
And the German boss was far from impressed with his side’s display – and also the performance of the home crowd, with many leaving soon after Dann’s winner, despite 12 minutes plus stoppage still to play.
When Crystal Palace scored I saw many people leave the stadium. I felt very alone in this moment.Jurgen Klopp
