The fish-hooks, the eye pokes, the fingers where fingers shouldn't be, the biting and of course the scratching- and that's just 10 minutes on the pitch against Arsenal!
Jair Costa, the older brother of Chelsea's suspended, and much missed striker, has revealed that Diego has always had a problem containing his temper and that isn't a surprise to us at all...
This isn't something new. It's the same old story. It's hard for Diego to change a habit of a lifetime. He always loses his temper easily and ends up in fights when he plays football. As brothers we've always been close but always fought over football because we were so passionate about trying to be better than the other. Jair Costa
The former Atletico hit-man better get his
anger in order soon enough because Chelsea dearly missed him during
their 2-2 draw with Newcastle yesterday evening.
Mourinho's team were 2-0 until the last 10
minutes and, with the lack of a proper forward holding the ball up well,
they relied on a long ranger stunner from Ramires and a free-kick that
evaded everyone from Willian.
Jair Costa added that his brother wasn't a good loser, like we didn't know, saying; "He
never wants to be beaten and as a child if his team lost or he
disagreed with a foul, he would fly into a rage ending up in scraps with
his opponent."
