NFF delaying Sudan plans –Keshi

Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, says the lack of leadership at the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Glass House is affecting his team’s performance, even as he expressed concern that there isn’t enough preparation ahead of the crucial two-legged Morocco 2015 Nations Cup qualifiers against Sudan in 10 days time.
KeshiI released a list of invited players for the double header matches on October 11 in Khartoum and October 15 in Abuja last Friday, saying that he had already submitted his programme for the games, but added that he wasn’t sure what would happen with his proposal.
“I have submitted my programme to the Super Eagles secretary for onward submission to the General Secretary of the NFF to see if they will accept it so that we can start building towards the game against Sudan.
“It will be very good for us if we can start preparing immediately because I like working with the home-based players at least two weeks before the games,” Keshi said.
“But I don’t know what they want to do. It is just that there isn’t enough preparation,” he added.
Keshi had already inspected the pitch of the mainbowl of Abuja National Stadium with the Minister of Sports, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, and approved the grass to host subsequent home matches of the senior national team as it struggles to qualify for the Morocco 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) where Nigeria is expected to defend her title won in South Africa last year.
