A Watford fan has been left in a critical condition after being attacked by some Wolves fans following the sides 2-2 draw however one Wolves fan has taken it upon himself to raise money for the injured party.
Nick Cruwys was making his way to Wolverhampton train station by foot following the match on Saturday between the Championship rivals when him and his friends were attacked by a gang. They were attacked in Littles Lane at about 17:00 GMT, West Midlands Police said.
The police said that the group of Watford fans were"outnumbered" and that his injuries were "life-threatening" after receiving head injuries.
With Nick in hospital and the police on the lookout for those involved in the incident one Wolves fan has turned to the internet as goodwill gesture. Ollie Floyd has started an online collection for Nick in hope of funding "Nick's supporting of Watford for the next few years, to try and atone for what happened yesterday afternoon" should the 44 year-old recover.
The fund has so far, at time of writing, raised over £9250.
