Chelsea Legend Didier Drogba Reveals His Footballing Idol

Chelsea and Arsenal have had some intense rivalries during the past decade, with the two London clubs at their peaks a little over ten years ago.
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea vs. Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal… it was an intense affair that produced some ugly ties, but also some brilliant fixtures.
Despite all this, Blues legend Didier Drogba once again showed his class by honouring Arsenal icon Thierry Henry as his football idol while he was growing up.

The statement may rile Chelsea fans, but it was all about respect which makes Drogba look even classier than he already is.
The Ivory Coast international won the 2015 Football Writers’ Association Tribute award over the weekend, and promptly afterwards pointed to Henry as the man that inspired his career.
Both being a striker by trade, the now retired Henry scored an incredible 228 goals during his time with Arsenal, while Drogba has 163 goals for Chelsea.
