Transfer policies have gone mad.
Wherever you find a overly successful European side, you generally will
find a wealthy owner who will throw money at any cause. It seems every
transfer window records are broken, more money is spent and big players
go from one club to another. Loyalty is hard to come by nowadays.
January is approaching and the rumours
inevitably are going to be spreading around social media as if every day
was Deadline Day. Here's a look at some of the players (6 to be
precise) you could possibly see leaving their European club over the
coming year.
Probably worth mentioning that all of
this is mere speculation and possibility, quite frankly no-one has a
clue what goes on behind the scenes.
Arturo Vidal (Juventus)
We don't know about anyone else but this
rumour is doing my head in. Every window Vidal is linked with the
possibility of joining Man Utd or Man City, but a deal never
materialised.
The Chilean international played down
speculation linking him away from Italy in the summer, but the fact that
Vidal has to state he is 'happy' at Juventus indicates quite the
opposite, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Premier League
after all.
Julian Draxler (Schalke 04)
What a prospect this guy is. We've
started to see the German's name come up a few times during the past
transfer windows but nothing has been concrete. Arsenal and Tottenham
were linked with the winger over Summer, but being part of a World Cup
winning squad is always going to up your value.
Don't be surprised to see Draxler join up
with the rest of the star Germans at Bayern Munich, who are looking for
long term solutions to Ribery/Robben.
Sami Khedira (Real Madrid)
The holding midfielder has found himself
on the bench for the most part of this season for Madrid, and we think
he is far too good for that. Khedira was rushed back from injury to take
part for Germany in the World Cup, where he was key in a 7-1 drubbing
over Brazil… as if you need reminding.
We would suggest that Khedira would fit
in perfectly at Arsenal, but he is good enough for anyone around Europe.
PSG? Bayern? City? Only time will tell.
Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)
This one is looking increasingly
unavoidable for Tottenham (again). If their defence wasn't so leaky,
maybe he wouldn't have been called on so often. Unbelievable
performances so far have seen him in the spotlight, and with Tottenham
struggling to mount a challenge for top 4, it looks like Lloris could be
out the exit door. Maybe a replacement for Casillas? Or even a
replacement for De Gea?
Xherdan Shaqiri (Bayern Munich)
Another rumour that keeps bubbling to the
surface every window. Shaqiri is at an age where if he wants to further
his development, he needs to be playing first team football every week.
His lack of first team opportunities makes us think that the Swiss has
not turned out to be the signing Bayern were hoping for. He's constantly
linked with Liverpool and perhaps this would be a good match. We think
Shaqiri would do a great job at Atletico Madrid as well. Who knows?
